NOVEMBER 27, 1926 – NOVEMBER 12, 2017

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Eric Walter Holdsworth of Kamloops BC in the early hours of November 12, 2017. Loving husband of Marjie for over 66 years, he will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Janice (Barry) and Barb (Ern), and was pre-deceased by his adored son Jason in 1994. He was Grandpa to Shannon, Brett, Steven and Devan and was pre-deceased by grandson’s Damon and Dylan. He was blessed with five great grandchildren, his brother Frank and sister Judy, along with many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

Eric was a devoted advocate and member of the Eagle Bay Church and community. He cherished his time at Wild Rose Bay in the lovely log house that he and Marjie built for retirement and family to enjoy. During his working years he was an engineer and a teacher.

Thank you to the friends and staff at the Ridgepointe Retirement Residence who were so kind and friendly while Eric resided there. Thank you to the nurses and doctors at the Royal Inland Hospital for his care and comfort during his final days.

A service of celebration will be held at the Eagle Bay Church, 4802 Eagle Bay Road on November 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with a reception to follow at the Eagle Bay Hall, 4326 Eagle Bay Road, Eagle Bay BC.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Society of BC. Condolences can be sent to Drake Cremation & Funeral Services.
