November 5, 1961 – May 19, 2017

Cathy Irene Hewitt, 55, of Knutsford, BC, died at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops on Friday, May 19, 2017. Cathy is a much loved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend to many. She has left us early after battling cancer with grace and dignity over the past 10 years. She will be deeply missed and her beautiful spirit will remain in our hearts and lives.

Cathy was born November 5, 1961 in Vancouver, and grew up surrounded by her family in Richmond, BC. Her family moved to South Surrey in 1971, and Cathy graduated from Earl Marriot Secondary School in 1979. Cathy married Terry Hewitt in 1982 and they moved to the Kamloops area. In 1988, with their first child Luke a one-year old, they purchased an acreage on Long Lake Road in Knutsford where they enjoyed the next 29 years raising their family, more recently welcoming their grandchildren to the property.

Cathy precedes her husband of 35 years, Terry Hewitt; her children, Luke and wife, Marella, of Vancouver, BC; Jill and husband, Bryn, of Airdrie, Alberta; Cara and husband, Jayden, and their children, Ashton and Hazel of Weyburn, Saskatchewan; and Austin of Knutsford. Cathy leaves behind her parents, Harold and Eileen Good, four siblings, Marilyn VanBatavia, Gary Good, Ron Good, Carol Brotherston, a large extended family and many friends.

All are welcome to join the family in a memorial of Cathy’s life, at 3pm, May 26, 2017 at Calvary Community Church, 1205 Rogers Way, Kamloops. A tea will follow.
