Thelma Arlene Grieve (nee Millar) passed away 2 February 2017. Thelma was born in Birtle, Manitoba on February 3rd 1931. Thelma was predeceased by her husband Robert Grieve, parents Howard and Helen Millar, sisters Roberta Jahnke and Audrey English. She is survived by her daughter Arlene Hauck (Brian) of Kamloops, her sons Howard (Karen) of Kamloops and Darren (Tammy) of Surrey and her three grandchildren Carly, Jordan and Shaelyn (Spencer). Her family moved to Surrey, BC in 1944. Mom graduated from Queen Elizabeth High School in 1948 then went on to Normal School to become a teacher. Thelma taught school throughout Surrey until she retired. She then fulfilled a lifelong dream of driving across Canada. She eventually settled in Osoyoos, BC.
The family would like to thank the staff at McKinley Place in Oliver, BC and for the last 6 years Dr. Wynne and the staff of the Kamloops Seniors Village for the care Mom received.
Private family arrangements have been made. No funeral by request. A donation in her honour to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
