Glennda Yvonne Kathleen Varney passed away in Kamloops BC, on March 26th, 2021 early in the morning at the young age of 45.

Glennda is predeceased by her Grandparents Leigh (2017) and Barbara Whalley (nee Lamb) (2011), Father Alfred Leroy Glenn Varney (2016), uncles Grant (2001) and Duncan ( January 2008) and Aunt Deborah (June 2008).

Glennda is survived by her common-law spouse Peter Duggan, Mother Susan Yvonne Swartz (nee Whalley) and husband William. Glennda is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her amazing children: Son Kevin, fiancée Christina (granddaughter Rylie [Mother Kim] ) (and baby #2 on the way), Daughter Kayla, spouse Raymond (grandchildren Serennity, Hannah, Brooklyn, Jordan, Hope, and Sophia), Son Keegan, Son Kyle, wife Courtney (granddaughter Lily), Son Tyren-keefer, Daughter Tatianna, Daughter Isabella, Daughter Amenetta, and Stepson Bryson.

Also by her siblings; Older Sister Michelle (nieces Dakota-Leigh & Jayden-Grant) , Sister Quintina (Karyna, Tristan & Hunter), Brother Scott (niece Zada, nephew Gage, niece Sidney and niece Ainarah) , Sister Tammy ( nephews Tyler, Aiden, Tyson, niece Amiya), Aunty Kim (Crystal & Cory), Special Daughter Stephanie and family, Best friend Chrystal (Kim), Best friend (Ramona and her family).

Glennda Yvonne Kathleen Varney was born in Nanaimo, B.C. on August 23rd, 1975. Glennda was the best at everything she did. When Glennda started her job at Future Shop she quickly rose to top sales leader, where she easily moved into a management position bringing the store to record numbers in a short time. She then moved on to Reitman’s, where again she became manager and increased the store sales in a short matter of time. During her time at Starbucks, she was top lead sales manager. In 2016 she had to leave her Manager position at Showcase to address her newly presenting health concerns. Anything Glennda wanted to do she did with great success, from her Tupperware, hair dressing and photography. Glennda was a remarkably strong woman, who overcame many many obstacles. Many that no one should ever have to face. Glennda had the biggest heart, and she loved every single person as if they were her own. She easily and effortlessly made friends and connections every single place she went. She has left an incredibly strong and huge impact on this world. Words cannot describe just how deeply she is missed every single second of the day.

​​Glennda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, camping, floating the river, new adventures, spending time playing at the ocean, drinking beer especially sour craft beer, her favorite Starbucks coffee, a venti half white mocha half toffee nut no foam, no whip, watching Canucks, collecting elephants and Spiderman memorabilia, but what she loved the most was being surrounded by her amazing children and grandchildren who she cherished.

​​Glennda was diagnosed with HCM in 2016. The past 5 years was incredibly challenging for Glennda and everyone who stood beside her, she had 4 open heart surgeries, survived a stroke, Brain aneurysm, re learnt how to walk and even got her driver’s license back. Glennda is by far the strongest person. She overcame many challenges. Until her heart was so weak and succumbed to a cardiac arrest.

​​A celebration of life will be held May 22nd, 2021 in Enderby B.C. by the river where she loved to take her children and grandbabies for a float.

​Due to Covid the gathering will be by invite only.
