June 1955 – January 28, 2025 

On the evening of January 28, 2025, the love of my life passed quietly into the arms of his God. He will be forever loved and missed terribly by myself, his family, and we will hold his place in our hearts for him eternally. Rest in peace, George Robert Cecil Gaine. 

Born in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, in June 1955 to his parents Florence Barber and Robert Gaine, he was the second child and first son. Survived by his siblings: Sharon, Cliff (Kelly), and Sandy (Mark), and predeceased by his younger brother Brian. 

He leaves his legacy and many stories behind to his children and grandchildren:
Oldest son Christopher (Karley) and grandchildren Caleb, Colby, & Kenzie; Son Doug (Dana) and grandchildren Austin & Avlyn; Daughter Nicole (Joel) and grandson Julian. 

He also leaves stepdaughter Cassandra (Dan) with grandchildren Caleb & Alexa; Daughter Ashley (John) and granddaughter Elliauna; Son Chandler (Jessica) and little Oliver and newest granddaughter Aurora. 

He was also a loving husband to myself, Sylvia, and mentor and stepdad to Jeffry (Ruby) with Lilliana; Adam (Cedar); Benjamin & Jasmine (Jordan). 

Such a wonderful man the world will never know again, and we were so very fortunate to be a part of his life. 

He spent most of his life building almost any kind of structure there was and could fix or run absolutely anything. He was a master with concrete and just loved being outside creating beautiful spaces to relax in, renovating pools, motorhomes & boats, or building new outbuildings to play in. He was well known for his love of adventure and was forever packing up for a day trip anywhere to explore, boat, or pick up anything he found to renovate or rebuild on Marketplace. 

Rest well, dear Robert. You will be forever missed terribly until we meet again.
