Gemsa, Naomi Lee

We share with heavy hearts the sad news of the sudden passing of our beloved Naomi. Left behind to grieve her absence , and to cherish our memories, is her most precious daughter, Kylee Methot, her mother, Judy Adams, her father, Rod Adams (Marg), her much loved brother Jeremy Adams (Krista). Also grieving their loss is her separated (albeit caring and supportive) spouse, Jurgen Gemsa and his son Andrew. Naomi will also be missed by her uncles, Brian Gablehouse and Dwight Adams (Donna), as well as her auntie Myrna Johnson (Gordon).
Naomi expressed her gentle, and deeply rooted compassionate spirit even through the valleys of her own suffering; listening support, helping hands, and steady, unconditional love. These exceptional gifts will be a loss to her friends, as well as family. Naomi embraced her individuality in the bold and beautiful décor of her home, her sensitivity with memorabilia, and her nurturing spirit in her landscape garden. She was a bright light, a teacher by example (without many words) and will continue to be a light of hope to those whose lives she touched. She will be remember most, not for her vulnerabilities, rather for her indomitable spirit.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 30th, 2017, at 3:00pm at St. Andrews on the Square, 159 Seymour St. Kamloops. Naomi will be interred at Hillside Cemetery, in Kamloops, at a later date.
Donations in Naomi’s memory may be made to the Phoenix Centre’s “Out of the Ashes” Bursary, which supports the education and transformation of youth in recovery.
