It is with great sadness that our family announce the passing of a dear brother, loving father and the kindest partner, Francie (Frank) William LaFrance , 70, of Merritt, BC on May 26th 2022, in Kamloops Royal Inland  Hospital.

Frank was born on Dec. 3rd 1951, in New Westminster, BC to Georges and Jeanne LaFrance

Frank happily resided with his partner Yvonne for the last several years in Merritt, BC. Sharing in many common loves,  interests, and adventures.

Frank enjoyed his work life in the northern BC mines with his brother Pierre, as a coast halibut fisherman, a taxi driver, and  Mission, BC Transit Bus Driver.

After his retirement  Frank continued enthusiastically with all his loves. He was an avid fisherman,  enjoyed the outdoors loved a good ‘dad’ joke, always up for a game of chess and had a love and knowledge of music that was hard to match.

Frank is survived by his partner Yvonne, children Nova, Elizabeth, and Orland (w)Alishea, grandchildren Rory , Koal , Prys, Timothy, Dominic, Taliyah, Kadence , and Aiden sister Georgette ‘Jenna’, cousins Linda and Lionel nephews Curt, Darren, Dean and Brett and best friend, Phil.

He was preceded in death by his parents Georges and Jeanne, siblings LeRoi , Pierre and Tina,

Frank was a giver. He gave love, kindness, thoughtfulness, and so much more.  We all have stories of how he gave his family gifts of many varieties. A surprise Halloween fireworks  for his nephews, a big bowl of his sisters favourite hazelnuts, fresh fish, smoked fish, fresh veggies from his garden. And so much more.
