Born November 29, 1953 in Kamloops, BC passed away peacefully at Royal Inland Hospital on August 19, 2016. Survived by mother Caroline Fortier nee Larue/Casimir, spouse Phil Brummitt, daughter Dawn Force (Vincent), son Brendan Roach, stepchildren Barbara, Lisa & Jody; sisters Edith Fortier, Yvonne Fortier (Kevin), Josie Fortier, Denise Fortier (Mike); brothers Hubert E. Fortier (Alona), Leslie Fortier, Ivan Fortier; godson Christopher Terry Jr, nephew Hubert C. Fortier Jr., niece Tawny and great niece Kyra; grandchildren: Cyrus, Justice, DeClann, step grandchildren: Damien, Chayna, Michael, Isabelle, Christian; her loving companion, Kia – her dog, and numerous relatives.

Predeceased by: father Clarence Fortier, brother Charles Eugene Fortier, grandmothers: Mathilda Sisiouloux, Frances Casimir; grandfathers: Edgar Fortier, Hubert LaRue; numerous aunts, uncles and relatives.

Elder of the Simpcw First Nation. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Royal Inland Hospital, Lillooet General Hospital, and Overlander Extendicare. Enjoyed caring for elders and loved children. Was generous, kind, giving and caring throughout her life. Multi-talented: designed the cougar mural at Barriere Secondary School, entered numerous art contests and won first place, and enjoyed doing puzzles, reading, gardening, listening to music, making song books, played slo-pitch for Family & Friends team.

Held at the Moccasin Square Gardens (old Kamloops Indian Band Gym)
