July 15, 1923– July 28, 2021
Florence Woycik passed peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at the very respectable age of 98.
Florence was born on July 15, 1923, in Moose Creek, Ontario to W. Stanley Fraser and Vera Kennedy. She grew up on the farm with her Grandparents, parents and siblings, Linton, Donalda and Wilma.
She met and married her husband William (Bill) in 1946 and together they gradually began their move west living in Regina, Calgary, Lethbridge and eventually settling in Prince George in 1958. After Bill died in 1991, Florence kept the family home until she moved to Kamloops in 2002 where she lived until her death.
Florence was fiercely independent and determined to live her life, her way. She was very proud of her children and loved all her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She valued her friendships and looked forward to the day she would be reunited with all the friends and family who had gone on before her.
Left to mourn her passing are her children, Dan Woycik (Sandy), Shirlee-Ann Henderson (Chuck), Bruce Woycik, and Sherri-Lee Woycik; her grandchildren, Bradley, Kirstie, Hannah, and Ben; her great-grandchildren, Tyson, Savanna and Ryen and numerous nieces and nephews.
Florence requested a graveside service be held in Prince George sometime over the summer. Arrangements are in the care of Schoening Funeral Service in Kamloops.
May your eyes and ears see and hear all, again Rest in Peace, Mom
