May 4, 1933 — March 23, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Filomena Renzullo on March 23, 2026, with her family by her side. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of nearly 70 years, Donato; her daughter Rosa Pepe (Luigi); her grandchildren Mario Pepe (Nadina), Danny Pepe (Kylene), and Cristina Pietramala (Frank); and her sister Palma Toto, along with numerous nieces and nephews throughout Canada, Italy, and Brazil. Filomena will be greatly missed by the true joys of her life—her great-grandchildren: Matteo, Gianna, Nikolai, Aida, Amelia, Lucan, and Rocco. She was predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Rosa Carlucci; her son Mario; her siblings Giuseppe, Ottavio, Alessandro, Ida, and Dora; her sisters-in-law Antonietta, Rosa, and Carmela; and her brothers-in-law Alfredo and Antonio.
Filomena was born on May 4, 1933, in Santa Maria del Molise, Italy. She married the love of her life on June 6, 1956, and immigrated to Canada on August 9, 1958, landing in Halifax before making her way west to Kamloops, where she built a life surrounded by family. She was an avid gardener, lovingly supplying her family with homegrown tomatoes each year, and was well known for her fresh baked bread. Her great-grandchildren were the light of her life. They always looked forward to visiting their Nunni, where they were greeted with love—and often a sweet surprise tucked in her pocket.
Filomena will be remembered for the love and affection she shared so generously throughout her life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Sarai sempre nel nostro cuore, Riposa in Pace. A Funeral Service will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (635 Tranquille Rd, Kamloops) on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 11:30 am.
