January 6, 1944 – July 10, 2025
Eugene Richard Archambault, lovingly known as Gene, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025, at the age of 81 in Kamloops, B.C.
Born on January 6, 1944, in Trail, British Columbia, Gene was the son of Joseph and Ann Archambault. He spent most of his childhood in British Columbia, with a few formative years in Ontario.
Gene was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a deeply loyal family man. He had an easy, joyful spirit and a gift for bringing people together through humor, warmth, and storytelling. Known for his quick wit and endless supply of nicknames—for people, pets, and just about everything—Gene’s charm and laughter were truly one of a kind. His infectious smile and animated stories were fixtures at every family gathering, lighting up rooms and hearts alike.
Above all, Gene treasured his family. His greatest joy came from spending time with his loved ones, building lifelong memories filled with love, laughter, a good bottle of wine, and unwavering support. His presence was a comfort, and his absence leaves an immeasurable void.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Beverley, and their children: Brandon (Jaclyn), Desirée (Kelly). He is also survived by his sons, Chris and Mic, and his brother, Gary (Val). His grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Gene’s memory will live on through all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
He will be missed more than words can express, but the impact he made and the joy he gave will never be forgotten.
