Born on June 15th, 1928, in Sudbury, ON, Emile Joseph Napoeleon Durette (Gramps) passed away peacefully on September 29th, 2020, at the 100 Mile Hospital surrounded by his loving family at a good ole age of 92 years. He is survived by his loving children Richard (Elena), and Colette (Tim), grandchildren Josh (Marie) and Rebecca (Tyrel), as well as his sisters Louis (Jurgen), Sylvia (Ken) and Yollande, along with many nieces and nephews. Emile was predeceased by his loving wife Delores Durette, father Napoeleon Durette and mother Denise Durette, siblings Marie, Lucille, Alphonse, Marie, Jane, Grace, Rachelle and Johnny, along with many close friends and relatives.
He worked as the best diamond driller in the world (41 years). His passions were fishing, spending time with his grandkids whom he played an enormous role in raising. He also loved a game of cribbage if anyone was game.
Happy fishing forever, Dad. Please save us all a place in your boat.
There will be no service by request.
