Elke, Ursula Elisabeth

Ursula Elisabeth Elke (Kahnert) was born in Germany on September 30, 1932. She immigrated to Canada in 1952 landing in Winnipeg. In 1959 she married Milbert Elke and moved to Swan River Manitoba. In 1966 they moved to Kamloops with their two sons, Gordon and Wayne where she resided until her passing.
She will be deeply missed by her two sons Gordon Elke of Kamloops and Wayne (Cheryl) Elke of Kamloops and her grandchildren Alaina, Courtney and Daniel. She was anxiously awaiting the wedding of her granddaughter Courtney to Jared Radmore in July. She will also be deeply missed by her sister Hildegard Dahms of Germany. She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Predeceased by her husband Milbert in 2002, and by her parents, a brother and a sister in Germany.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Thursday June 23 at 11:00 am at the Kamloops Alliance Church with Pastor Larry Boss officiating.
Special thanks to the nurses of 5 North at RIH who treated her with dignity and respect in the last few weeks of her life.
