October 24, 1957 -February 11, 2017

Sukhwant Kaur was born in Isewal, Ludhiana, India on October 24, 1957 to Avtar Kaur and Deva Singh Grewal. Sukhwant’s brother was Teja Singh, and sisters were Karmjit Kaur, Rajwant Kaur, and Rajinder Kaur, as well as the late Balwinder Kaur. Wife to Amarjit Singh for over 34 years, she was mother to loving daughters Maninder, Bhupinder, and Satinder.
Sukhwant carried a hard work ethic throughout her entire life. She endured hardships when both her mother and her first husband Paul Singh passed away in 1975. For periods of time, she lived with the Dosanjh family and helped to care for the Dosanjh children and household. She worked hard most of her life, averaging two to three jobs at a time, while raising three children and maintaining her household. 

Sukhwant was once admired for her beauty, and was a kind and selfless woman. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, flowers, and spending time with her daughters. She also enjoyed dressing up, jewellery, and shopping. She was the care giver of the family. 

Sukhwant and Amarjit will be missed and live on through their three loving daughters.
