September 21, 1937 — March 19, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Duane Allen Love, 88, of Kamloops, BC on March 19, 2026. He passed away peacefully with his daughters Marcella Zurcher and Vicki Dennill at his side.

Born September 21, 1937 in Laramie, Wyoming, Duane was a dedicated teacher in Kamloops and Logan Lake, impacting many of his students through his passionate work as a band teacher. He and Betty retired to Osoyoos, BC, enjoying several years there before he returned to Kamloops in 2021.

Duane was a devoted Husband and loving Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather. Duane is survived by his daughters; Kimberly Love of Vancouver, WA, Marcella Zurcher (Jon) of Portland, OR, and Vicki Dennill (Reg ) of Kamloops, BC. Nine Grandchildren; Stefanie Horlton, Jonathan Zurcher, Christopher Zurcher, Ashley Thomasson, Joshua Ketch, Aimee Pastoor, Courtney Smeaton, Brooke Hermiston, Jennie Reimer, and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Betty, and son Jerry.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Kamloops Alliance Church on May 2, 2026 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kamloops Hospice Association. A very special thank you to the incredible staff and volunteers at the MW Kamloops Hospice for their amazing, compassionate care of our dad during his time with them!
