1930 – 2016

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elsie Drew age 86, at Overlander Extended Care. She passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years Arthur Drew. She will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered as a loving mother of son Clayton Drew and daughter Laurie Poissant, grandchildren, Sean Poissant, Brianne Poissant and Heather Olsen and great-granddaughter Eva Poissant.
Elsie was born in Meota, Saskatchewan on February 21, 1930. Raised on a farm Elsie had a great love for all animals and shared that love with all who knew her. She was an avid curler and a active volunteer in politics. Elsie’s home was always full of music, family, laughter and friends, family and friends always warmly welcomed.
Our family would like to thank all the nurses and caretakers at Overlander Extended Care for caring for Elsie.
At Elsie’s request in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kamloops SPCA (1211 8th St. Kamloops, B.C. V2B-2Y3). There will be no formal service as per her request.
