October 23, 1935 – June 3, 2024  

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Doreen Beverly Baillargeon (nee Monteith) on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Kamloops Senior Village at the age of 88. 

“Doreen was a daughter of Kamloops, from birth to death she loved Kamloops and all it had to offer. 

She spent many hours doing her yoga and even did an exercise program on Let’s Visit A While on CFJC TV in the Seventies. If she was not doing her yoga, she was in the garden with her flowers or on her bike with Joey, her Shih Tzu. She loved all that life had to offer.” 

Lovingly remembered by her children Dana Paterson (Shelly) and Brian Paterson. 

Doreen was predeceased by her first husband Charles “Hugh” Paterson, her second husband Roy Baillargeon; her brother Melvin Monteith and her son Calvin Paterson. 

She is also missed by Roy’s children: Joanne Riordan (Duane), Donna Twentyman (Greg), Debra Davies (Brad), Glen Baillargeon (Lisa) and Liana Lundrigan (Rod); and numerous other family members. 

A Celebration of life for family and friends will be held on August 1, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Kamloops Senior Village in the Multi-Purpose Room. 

The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful staff at Kamloops Senior Village on the Assisted Living, 1C and 2B Residential Care for the love and care provided to Roy and Doreen for the past 10 years. We would also like to express a special thank you to Dr. Wynne. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Kamloops Hospice Association, a charity that was near and dear to Doreen’s heart.
