September 20, 1960 — August 9, 2024

With deep sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Donna Louise Reid on August 9, 2024. She passed in the morning with her loving partner, Struchie, by her side at their cherished lake house in Chase, BC.

Donna was born on September 20, 1960, to Alexander McPhaden Reid and Joyce Irene Reid (Sopp) in Ottawa, Ontario.

Donna lived a life dedicated to love, kindness, and endless generosity. Her beautiful big brown eyes and the warmth of her radiant smile lit up every room she entered.

She had a deep passion for baking, puttering in her garden, and playing golf, and she was an accomplished curler. Donna also loved boating on the beautiful waters around Flin Flon and the Shuswap. Her furry kids brought her much joy and meant the world to her. She was an amazing hostess who loved gathering with friends and family for delicious meals and fine wine.

Donna was dedicated to her career in Accounting and Business Management. She also loved driving and professionally drove school and city transit buses, in addition to excelling in her Mary Kay career.

She is survived by her partner, Donna Struch (Struchie); brother Dan (Erin) Reid; sister Darlene (Jim) Quinn; brother Don (Patricia) Reid; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Donna was predeceased by her infant son, Reid Alan Quinn; her parents, Alexander and Joyce Reid; and her sister-in-law, Jeannine Reid (Hacault).

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all of Donna’s loved ones for their endless support and kindness during her courageous battle.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 29 at 3:00 pm in the Greenhouse at the Monte Creek Winery, 2420 Miner’s Bluff Rd, with an informal get-together to follow at their lake house, 6088 Lakeview Road, Chase, BC.
