November 22, 1943 – December 4, 2023
We celebrate the life of Donald Elwood Eddy of Kamloops.
Don was born on November 22, 1943, in Kincaid, Saskatchewan and he passed away at the age of 80 on December 4, 2023.
He was one of 6 children born to Lee and Clara Eddy: Lionel Eddy (Fran), Gordon ‘Maynard’ Eddy, Loretta Farmer, Max Eddy (Marilyn), Roger Eddy (Glenda).
Don had a total of 7 children and 6 grandchildren throughout his lifetime: Duane, Wanda-Grandson Alexander, Darla (Clayton)-Grandsons Lane, and Cole,
Michael, Yvonne (André)-Granddaughters Hailey (Oliver) and Brooke,
Jennifer, Skye-Granddaughter Pursayes.
Don spent his working life as a millwright and was a man of many skills that were developed throughout a lifetime of experiences. He earned the nickname ‘Steady Eddy’ from his devotion and focus to his work.
He found peace perfecting his garden and spending time fishing, and in his later years with his beloved dog Charley.
He was a man of his own faith and lived by his own understanding of the universe and all its workings.
If you had the opportunity to know Don on a personal level, you would understand what a truly unique and special person he was.
A special thank you to Dr. Thomasse, the medical team, and the compassionate staff of Kamloops Trinity Hospice.
You may offer a message of condolence at Cypress Funeral & Cremation Services for the Eddy family.
