September 27, 1943 – December 20, 2023
Born September 27, 1943, in Regina, Saskatchewan, Donald “Don” passed away on December 20, 2023, at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops B.C.
He was predeceased by his father Joseph Repar, mother Olive Repar and brother Roger Repar.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Doris Repar, daughter Denise Repar and son David Repar. His grandchildren David Reid, Adinah Reid, Hannah Reid, Zoee Repar, Makayla Repar and Deklen Repar.
Don was a welder and came to B.C. following the pipeline. Don met Doris in 1969 and they were married in 1971. They traveled to B.C. where they settled in the Highland Valley Trailer Park. Don started working at Lornex and then Bethlehem until he went back on the road doing construction and welding. Don moved his family to Sechelt, B.C. for a time and then ended back at Highland Valley Copper Mine, where he retired from in 2009.
Don & Doris attended Bible Truth Fellowship in 1977 for many years. He served in the church doing whatever needed to be done. Don and his family served as janitors and usher’s, greeting everyone who attended the service. Don was a deacon along with Doris at Bible Truth. Don served those around him, he loved people and would give the shirt off of his back, his shoes and pants to anyone in need. He loved God and his church. Serving others was his way of serving God, he never requested payment and always did what was needed to be done without being asked. He passed this calling along to his children and grandchildren.
Donald will be dearly missed and remembered by all his family, immediate and extended as well as friends around the country.
Celebration of life will be held at the Kamloops Alliance Church on January 27 at 1:00 p.m.
