Dechert, Suzanne Amy

Suzanne Amy Dechert (nee Willett), 57, peacefully passed away April 30, 2016 with her husband at her side at the Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops, BC after a brief battle with cancer. She was born January 14, 1959 in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. She graduated from École Secondaire Népisiguit (1977) in Bathurst NB and enjoyed a 25 year career at Brunswick Mines. Suzanne was the beloved wife to Christopher Dechert; devoted mother to son Gregg Roberts and doting grandmother to Caleb Roberts.
Suzanne lived life to the fullest; travelling the world and living abroad; experiencing different cultures and creating life-long friendships along the way. She enjoyed simple pleasures; countless walks with her beloved dog; dinners with friends; taking a drive to view the natural beauty that surrounded her. She was a remarkable person that impacted so many. Gone too soon but her memory will be treasured forever.
She is survived by her mother and father, Grant and Georgette Willett; her brothers Mathieu, Arthur, Gary, Marc, Michael and Allan Willett; and her sister Sacha Willett.
A Celebration of Life for Suzanne will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11AM in the Schoening Chapel, 513 Seymour St. Kamloops BC.
