It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loving Father and Grandfather, Edward Richard Cyr, on August 2nd, 2018 in Kamloops, B.C. He was just a little over 2 weeks away from his 82nd birthday.
Ed is survived by his 4 daughters: Julie, Sherry, Becki and Edanna; 5 Granddaughters; 3 Grandsons and 1 Great Grandson; 2nd wife and forever friend, Sharon; good friend Jack Gould; special nieces and nephews of the family Brown. He was uncle to many and had a lot of friends around the world.
He was predeceased by his 2 sons, Kurtis (1983), Dennis (2002), as well as all of his brothers and parents Irene and Tobie Cyr.
Born in a covered wagon on Hinton Trail, Alberta, August 18th, 1936, en route to the hospital, Ed then grew up as a child in Kimberly, B.C. He quit school at an early age to work as a farmhand, and was a jack of all trades from logging to heavy duty mechanic, chauffeuring and also as a prospector.
He lived in many areas of British Columbia, such as Kimberly, Prince George, Ashcroft, Quesnel, Williams Lake, Likely and Kamloops; where he lived his final years happily surrounded by family, friends and his beloved grandchildren.
Special thanks to Dr. Navy Sahota and Interior Health nurses, who provided their services.
Ed will be cremated and some of his remains will be spread in Quesnel and Likely, B.C. as he requested
