In loving memories of Curtis Allan George Eddy
Died suddenly and tragically after a lifelong struggle with mental illness on July 25th, 2023 at his home in Logan Lake BC. Curtis Allan George Eddy, formerly of North Harbour, Placentia Bay Newfoundland. Leaving to mourn his beautiful wife Wanda, his beloved daughter Chantell Eddy-Firth, his precious mother Georgiana Eddy and his mother-in-law ‘Ma’ Norma Bent. Also mourning this devastating loss are his sisters, Marilyn Eddy and Deanna Burns, his brother Scott Eddy, his sister-in-law Dawn Brush, his brothers-in-law Glenn and Grant Bent and his son-in-law Curtis Firth.
Curtis also leaves to mourn a wide circle of family-aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and friends across Canada and in the US and his much-loved cat Boots and special dog Twinkie.
Curtis was predeceased by his father, Eric Eddy and his father-in-law John ‘Bud’ Bent.
Curtis was a long-term employee of Highland Valley Copper, a member of the United Steelworkers Union Local 7619, and a member of the Logan Lake Lions Club. He loved anything to do with the outdoors-boating, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling. His ‘happy’ place for many years was sitting on his parent’s wharf in Newfoundland.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for late August in British Columbia, with interment in Newfoundland at a later date. Details to follow.
