A sad time and one with a blessing as Thelma found peace on Monday January 21, 2019 at the age of 74 years. Thelma was first diagnosed with cancer four years ago. During this time she met every challenge with bravery and dignity supported by family and friends.
Thelma was predeceased by her loving husband Ed and is survived by her children Michael (Liz), Tracy (Heather) and Michele (Scott), Grandchildren Lauren, Jared, Drumlin, Maia and Sean. She is also survived by her siblings Shirley Kliewer (Richard), Leigh Asato, Tom Nagel (Karen), and many nieces, nephews and grand and great grand nieces and nephews Thelma is remembered by many friends during her time in Rossland, Christina Lake, Kelowna and Kamloops.
To celebrate Thelma’s life we will be gathering at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Kamloops on February 9th at 2:00 pm. A reception will be held at the church after the service.
For the past two months Thelma’s care was provided by the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice in Kamloops, a peaceful place for Thelma, her family and friends. In lieu of flowers we would ask that support be given to the Kamloops Hospice Association, 72 Whiteshield Cres, Kamloops, BC V2E 2S9
