Ronald Coxon of Kamloops passed away on December 20, 2016 at 71 years of age.
Predeceased by his loving wife Audrey Coxon, and survived by his children; Paul and Michael (Wanda) of Kamloops; and grandchildren; Alex, Devyn, Ayla, Madisen, Gavin, Matthiew and Mitchell; great-grandchildren; Ryder, Jaxyn, and Fynn, brothers and sisters; Karen (Joe) Salt, sister in law Christine (Graeme) and brother in law Alan (Sophie) all of Engand, with numerous nieces nephews and cousins in the UK.
Predeceased by his parents; Henry and Edna May, brothers; William, Henry, Allan, Michael and George, sisters; Jean, Violet and Edna,
Ron was born in Seaham, County Durham, England where he met Audrey, his flower, and they were married in 1966 for 49 wonderful years. They immigrated to Canada in 1977, first to Leaf Rapids, Manitoba, then to Logan Lake, British Columbia, then finally settling in Kamloops with his family. Ron worked his whole life mining, starting in the coal mines of England, a short stint in Leaf Rapids, Manitoba, and finally Highland Valley Copper, where he retired from after almost 30 years there.
Ron will eternally be missed by the many people’s lives he touched both on a social and professional level.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 2:00pm in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel (285 Fortune Drive), with Brian Arnold officiating.
