Born June 26, 1978, Prince George, B.C. – Passed away March 6, 2024, Kamloops, B.C. 

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Cory Douglas Mooney, a beloved son, brother, father, nephew, uncle, and friend. Cory will be deeply missed by his cherished daughter, Taylor, whose presence brought him immeasurable joy. Though his time with us was far too short, Cory’s love for Taylor was endless, and his memory will forever live on in her heart. 

While Cory faced the difficult battle of addiction, it does not define the essence of the man he was. His journey was illuminated by the vibrant memories of his best self – the Cory we all knew and loved. He possessed a kindness and compassion that touched the lives of those around him, always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. Cory will be remembered as a man who lived life on his own terms, approaching every challenge with intensity and dedication. 

As we mourn Cory’s passing, let us hold onto the memories of his strong spirit and the laughter, love, and joy he brought into our lives. Though his journey was marked by struggle, may his legacy serve as a beacon of hope and resilience for those who continue to fight against addiction. 

Rest in peace, Cory. Though your light may have dimmed in this world, it shines brightly in the hearts of those who loved you.
