Clifford Merrill Daily passed away peacefully with his wife by his side at the Chilliwack General Hospital on Thursday, September 18, 2025.
Cliff was born in Edmonton on April 6, 1948. He spent his youth working alongside his father on a dairy farm in Sherwood Park, Alberta. Cliff was quite the sports enthusiast and played baseball, football, rugby, golf, bowling and in his later years lawn bowling. His adventurous spirit led him to many different careers in many different fields, including his job as a medic in Tuktoyuktuk. He was always up for the challenge of a new job. Cliff was always passionate in his many hobbies, he honed his skill as an expert woodworker, sang with both the Gentlemen of Fortune and the Chilliwack Harmony Chorus Barbershop Singers, as well as acted in plays put on by the Kamloops Players.
Dearly missed by his family and friends, Cliff is survived by his wife Shirley, two sisters, Brenda Tuck and Diane Victor, one brother Ed Badach (Gayle), his two daughters Lisa Daily & Cindy Teufele (Harvey and grandchildren Tenille and Keagan) and son Duane. In addition, he is also survived by his extended family Mark Bakala (Jenni), Karen Alward (Jimmy), Taylor and Sydney Alward.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr Boshoff and his staff, to Dr. Kerr, nurses Patricia and Brad, the emergency room staff and 5N staff at Chilliwack General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Society of British Columbia or charity of one’s choice.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for the near future.
