January 13, 1954 – May 25, 2025   

“From the Heart”, we announce the passing of our beloved brother Claudio Gerebizza, who passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025, at Royal Inland Hospital Intensive Care Unit. He was born on January 13, 1954, in Capodistra, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1957 at the age of three. Claudio was 71 years old even though he reminded us daily that he was only 35. 

Claudio was most happy in the outdoors; going for drives, enjoying picnics or just being in big open grassy spaces. Throughout his journey, Claudio loved to laugh and spread joy. He loved being amongst his friends and being out in the community. Claudio drew remarkable strength and peace from his faith in Jesus and love for his family. His resilience and perseverance in the face of challenge was truly inspiring. 

Claudio was predeceased by his mother and father, Rosina and Angelo. He is survived by his brother Edoardo (Sheila) and extended family Scott (Amanda) and Sophia; Sean (Lindsey) and numerous cousins in Italy and Slovenia. 

The Gerebizza family is very grateful for all the friendship and care that Claudio received at Singh House (Prima Enterprises) and Vista Community Services. 

Prayers will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) Roman Catholic Church in Kamloops on Thursday, June 5 at 5:00 p.m. The funeral mass will take place at OLPH Church on Friday, June 6 at 11:00 a.m. and will be followed by refreshments at the OLPH Centre. After refreshments, interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. 

Rest in Peace brother.
