September 15, 1945 – March 22, 2017
The family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Rick Cattermole on March 22, 2017 after a brief illness.
Rick was predeceased by his parents Dick and Phyllis Cattermole and his sister Val Kemm. He will be missed by his son Chuck (Diana), daughter Char (Kyle), daughter Leanne (Jim), and son Wade, grandchildren Seth, Aaron, Jesse, Frankie, Jaxon, Kyle, Tydan, Jase, Kade, Carter, Jaden, Alina, Shea, and Ariya, and nephews Billy and Jesse. Rick will also be dearly missed by Wendy Ryan and many other family and friends.
Rick grew up in Richmond, BC and began floor laying at the age of 17. He moved to the Kamloops area in his twenties, finally settling in Westsyde in 1987. Rick was often found hunting or fishing around the Gorman Lake area. He was happiest cruising around the bush and sitting around a campfire while singing “Blue Suede Shoes”. His infectious laugh was known by all. He was very loyal and extremely compassionate to anyone that needed a helping hand. He was a wonderful son, brother, dad, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
The family will be holding an open house on April 22, 2017 from 11-2 at 945 Nicolani Drive for anyone that would like to pay their respects. Many thanks to the nurses and staff at Ponderosa Lodge for their care these past weeks.
