Alma Caroline Calderoni (Calbick), born in Nelson, BC and a resident of Kamloops, BC since 1983 passed away on October 23, 2016.
Alma was well known and loved for her passion and her ability to doggedly pursue what she believed in. She was a true pioneer, unafraid to try new things. She was the first woman to work in management for BC Tel in the 1960’s. In the 1970’s she began homeschooling and assisted many other families to educate their children at home as well. She enjoyed travelling and drove across the United States several times as well as driving through Mexico to Belize.
Her greatest passions however were God and family. If you ever had a conversation with Alma, her complete dedication to her Saviour and her entire family were clearly evident. She was also dedicated to life, all life, and spent much of her time and energy through the years trying to help anyone in need, including advocating for the unborn.
Alma was preceded to Heaven by her loving, dedicated husband Robert Calderoni, grandson Ethan David Donnelly as well as her son-in-law Kevin Donnelly.
She is survived by her children Catherine Donnelly (Calderoni), David (Emma Esser) Calderoni, and Evan Calderoni; her grandchildren Benjamin Donnelly, Hannah Donnelly, Quintin Frew, Abigail Donnelly, Liam Esser-Calderoni, Andrew Donnelly, and Lilly Donnelly, her sisters Joan Milligan, Lois (Alf) Hopkins and Dena (George) Beck, as well as nieces and nephews and their families.
She will be greatly missed. We are all very grateful for the legacy she has left in each of us as well as in her community and the world.
