Brent Clinton Bertolotti

Posted Apr 29, 2026 | 5:05 PM

March 17, 1958 — April 25, 2026

Brent Clinton Bertolotti passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026, at his home in Kamloops, British Columbia.

Brent was born on March 17, 1958, in Kamloops, BC. He lived and worked on the family farm on Tranquille Road until the 90s, when he met and married Leanne, his wife of 31 years. They started a family shortly after and moved to Dallas in 1993 to be closer to the new family farm location and to give their daughters a childhood with backyards, garage sales, and family nearby.

Brent will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his two daughters, Chantel and Jenelle, and the mother of his children, Leanne; his siblings, Dallas, Peter (Brenda), Bernice, and Della; and his nieces and nephews, Beverly, Deserae, and Dalin. Brent was predeceased by his parents, Peter Sr. and Connie, as well as his nephew Mitchell.

“Uncle Bones” lived and worked farming most of his life until the passing of his father in 2012, when the siblings decided it was time to sell the family farm. Farming brought a great sense of accomplishment and purpose to Brent’s life from birth until only a few years ago. He enjoyed working with animals and was proud of his accomplishments with the 4-H Club. His daughters mentioned how proud he was of his ribbons and awards, and how he loved sharing stories of his childhood, his close bond with his brothers and father, and his role in growing the family business. After working at the family farm, Brent started his own business, Brent’s One Ton Service. He was proud to be an owner/operator and worked hard to make it a success. Brent also enjoyed outings with the Kamloops Street Rod Association. Anyone who saw him cruising in his bright yellow ’78 GMC shortbox pickup would know how much time and love he put into restoring it. As a youngster, he enjoyed racing his truck through the streets of Kamloops alongside his brothers and friends. In his “golden” years, he enjoyed cruising through the Thompson and Okanagan, visiting shows and friends along the way. Brent loved his liver and onions as well, you could often find him at Harold’s with his family for a meal. When relatives or friends came to town, it was his go-to place to say, “Let’s go for dinner.”

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Brent may be made to the Kamloops Street Rod Association. Donations can be given to the family, or you may contact the club directly; a total raised will be announced. Funds will go toward the RIH Pediatrics Ward. The family invites those who wish to share messages or memories to connect through an online tribute at Schoening Funeral Service.
