Myrna Bostick at the age of 81 passed away peacefully June 1 at the Kamloops Hospice. Her final weeks were blessed by the wonderful caring staff at the Marjorie Snowden Willoughby Hospice Home.
She is survived by Sister Sharon Welton of Minto, New Brunswick and Brother Conrad Bostick and his wife Muriel of Airdrie, Alta. her longtime friend Maria Alvarez of Kamloops; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Myrna was born in Minto, New Brunswick. She excelled in athletics in her youth. She won Bronze in the Canada Games in the 60’s in Ladies Softball. She was inducted into the New Brunswick Hall of Fame as well as the Minto Hall of Fame.
Her greatest pride was the years she served in the Canadian Armed Forces. After leaving with an honorable release she moved to B.C. where she worked in the B.C. Correctional Services as well as volunteered with the Kamloops Senior Outreach Program.
