1946 – 2016
On Saturday August 27, 2016 Kenneth Hugh Booth, at the age of 70, passed away after a short battle with cancer in Kamloops B.C. Where he was born and lived pretty well his whole life. He was born January 19, 1946 to Ken and Beth Booth. Graduated high school in Kamloops and went to welding school in Kelowna.
Married The love of his life Cheryl on June 28, 1968. Hugh worked construction all over B.C. And other places making some life long friendships with co workers. Hugh and Cheryl have three children Colleen, Rhonda and Ken. Hugh and Cheryl enjoyed many activities such as motorcycling, tennis and biking. They took many trips including motorcycle rides through the States and Mexico. Hugh retired three years ago, he enjoyed his work and came to love his retirement. Hugh volunteered at the Kamloops food bank and he took an injured co worker who resided at Overlander extended care for walks and Tims for coffee every week. Hugh had a great sense of humour, a huge love for all children, love for his neighbours and just all people. He saw the good in everyone. Hugh is survived by his loving wife Cheryl, daughter Colleen (Dave), daughter Rhonda (Wayde), son Ken (Karen), and his grandchildren Nick, Ashlyn, Cailyn, Hailey, Hannah, Nathan, Dylan and Noah.
Memorial service to be held at the Kamloops Alliance Church located at 200 Leigh Road, Kamloops B.C. 2pm Friday September 2, 2016 with a tea to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Kamloops Hospice Association or the Kamloops food bank.
