1985 – 2016
Adrian Yvon Boissonneault died as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the age of 32 years. He was travelling from a conference in Vancouver to a business meeting in Kelowna. This was an exciting time in Adrian’s life; he was uplifted by the path he was on and the possibilities ahead of him.
Born in Stewart, BC on December 5, 1985 and raised in Victoria, Adrian set roots in Nelson in 2014 and felt at home in his community there. He attended a three month program at Yasodhara Ashram as part of their Under 30 Youth Program which was a life changing stay for him. Adrian continued to visit the ashram after his time there, supported in the re-building of the main temple after a fire, and is remembered fondly by those who came to know him. Adrian loved spending time canoeing on Kootenay Lake and hiking to the local Pulpit lookout in Nelson with his friend’s dog, Dexter. The mountain was his second home and he had set a goal of 100 days snowboarding this winter. Most recently, he was focusing his energy and passion into developing his businesses, Certified CBD and Kootenay Tours.
Adrian was a free-spirited risk taker and that came with many challenges into his adulthood. His fast mind with big stories and cascading ideas often had him pushing boundaries.
He led with a huge heart, big voice and lift-you-off-the-ground hugs as he devoured life. He was always connecting with new people and loved to show others a good time as well as inspire them to be better versions of themselves.
Adrian leaves behind his father, Mike Boissonneault (Victoria) his mother, Karen Gibbons (Gabriola), and his sister, Amy Boissonneault (Vancouver). He is survived by his maternal grandparents Marian Gibbons (North Vancouver), Maurice Gibbons and step-grandmother, Leslie Gibbons (West Vancouver). Adrian is survived by his paternal grandmother, Bette Hammond (Victoria).
Please join us to remember and celebrate Adrian’s life on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the North Shore Unitarian Church, 370 Mathers Ave, West Vancouver.
