It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our father Joseph Silva Blais at the age of 92, only 12 days after the passing of his wife of 68 years and our mother Evelyn Blais. He passed away peacefully in the presence of his daughters Gloria and Myrna along with his granddaughter Crystal Blais. Our father, Joseph Silva Blais, was a veteran of WWII and had many stories of the trials and tribulations that he experienced during the war.
Joseph is survived by his brothers Joseph Ulrich (Doris) Blais and Edmund Joseph (Florence) Blais, his eight children, Gloria (Bill) Peters, Eugene (Dianne) Blais, Roger (Cathy) Blais, Myrna Price, Clifford (Wendy) Blais, Wilma (Dennis) Crough, Kelvin Blais, Brenda Nesbitt, 19 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren plus numerous nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by his parents, 2 sisters, grandson Wade Blais and son-in-law Tom Price.
Funeral prayers will take place on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 7p.m. at St. John Vianney Parish. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 28 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Vianney Parish. A time of fellowship will follow in the church hall with interment to follow at the Hillside Cemetery.
