September 30, 1935 – August 12, 2019
Kathleen Alexandria Bennett (nee Lidstone) passed away peacefully at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops B.C after a brief battle with pneumonia. Predeceased by her husband of more than 42 years Robert (Bob), 5 sisters and 1 twin brother Ray. Survived by her 2 sons Todd and Scott (Deb) and 3 grandchildren, Adam, Erin and Bronson. Born September 30, 1935 in Vernon B.C. raised in the interior around Grindrod, Grandview Bench and Armstrong, later relocating to the Lower Mainland. Kay met her husband Bob working in the candy factory at Nabob foods. They married in 1960 and settled in Coquitlam raising her 2 boys until retiring in Chase B.C., later moving to Kamloops. Mom was a big Canucks fan; she watched them regularly and often said that when she leaves the room they score so she left often. She also enjoyed bowling which is where she won our very first T.V. set. She also enjoyed the occasional round of golf. Mom had numerous Nieces and Nephews, and really loved her grandchildren dearly. She took care of her sons their whole lives. She really was one of a kind. Dad’s been waiting for you, you can rest now. There will be no formal service by request.
