It is with sadness that we announce the passing of George Barron of Kamloops, BC, on September 11th, 2016, at 88 years of age. George is survived by his loving wife, Jean, children Greg (Koraley) Barron, Jean Barron, Carol (John) Vermilyea, and Brenda (Chris) Brookbank, all of Kamloops; grandchildren Dan, Nicole, Kyle, Justin, Mark, Matt, Miles and Marley, and six and a half very special great-grandkids. He is also survived by his brother Bill, and his sisters-in-law Ivy and Peggy. George was predeceased by his father, mother, and brother Tim.
George lived his early life in Blue River. He worked around BC for CNR, and was married to Jean in 1959. They moved to Kamloops in 1967, and George retired 1983. He spent much of his free time fishing, hunting and wood cutting. His grandsons learned many of his skills during these years. George enjoyed being a grandpa, and watching his grandkids grow up into great adults.
There will be no formal ceremony, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Marjorie Willoughby Hospice.
