March 5, 1940 – December 9, 2025 

Barbara Joan Skoglund (nee Brander) of Kamloops ,B.C. passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, of natural causes. 

Born March 5, 1940 in Cranbrook, B.C., she is survived by her three children: Ken Young, Joanne Skoglund & John Young. She was also blessed with four grandchildren: Melissa, Hayley, Nikki and Allan Young. Barbara played a pivotal role in raising and mentoring all of her children and grandchildren throughout her lifetime. She will be remembered for her dedication to family, her genuine kindness and wonderful gentle presence. She was a lifetime positive influence on everyone fortunate enough to be associated with her. 

Born into a pioneering family with deep roots in the South Kootenay area, she will be reunited forever with many generations of family including her mother Irene Fauvre and brother Allan Brander in the family plot at Fort Steele, B.C. 

We all celebrate her long and meaningful life. She is dearly missed.
