In loving memory of Clifford James Atchison who passed away at the Majorie Willoughby Hospice on November 28, 2019 at 98 years of age. Survived by his wife, Eleanor Atchison, and children Marguerite Atchison (Jody Racicot), Ron (Betty) Jungwirth, Debbie (Steve) Cosens, Diane Woronuk, Myron (Stephanie) Jungwirth, Wayne Jungwirth, grandchildren Julia, Andrea, Stephanie, Brandon, Matthew, Alex, and Kevin, as well as great grandchildren Ava, Noah, Pearl, Ailey and Ophelia.
Cliff was born in New Westminster, BC on July 24, 1921. His younger years were spent in Vancouver where he fell in love with the ocean and fishing. As a young man he moved north to work in remote logging camps and mills. He enjoyed the community and outdoors of Northern BC so much that he stayed and in 1958 he opened Atchison Refrigeration in Dawson Creek where he served the community for over 40 years. He retired to Gabriola Island in 1991 where he enjoyed spending time on his boat out on the ocean. In 2008 he and Eleanor moved to the community of Chase where they have spent many happy years.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Cliff’s name to the Majorie Willoughby Hospice in Kamloops.
