KAMLOOPS — Blazers prospect and Kamloops native Logan Stankoven will be in the line-up when the Vancouver Giants are in town on Wednesday night.

The 15-year-old forward, who plays for the Thompson major midget Blazers, got official word following practice at the Sandman Centre. Stankoven replaces forward Ryley Appelt, who has officially been ruled out for 7-10 days with a finger injury following a fight on Friday night against Spokane.

Wednesday’s game will be Stankoven’s third WHL regular season game, tallying one assist in his first game against Swift Current in October. As a 15 year old, he can play in five games with the team prior to his major midget season ending. After that, he’s available to the Blazers for the remainder of the season.
