KAMLOOPS — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects who robbed a jewelry store in Sahali Mall.

Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says at roughly 5:00 p.m. yesterday (Dec. 11) two men who had their faces covered entered Danielle’s Silver & Gold jewelry store, smashing glass display cases and stealing jewelry from within.

The two suspects then left the mall out of the Fox and Hounds exit, and left on foot toward Sahali Terrace.

Several police cruisers could be seen patrolling the areas of Pemberton Terrace, Columbia Street and Sahali Terrace yesterday evening.

The first suspect is described as wearing a light grey or white hoodie with the hood up, dark grey pants, white runners, white balaclava with black markings, and white gloves with black on the knuckles. He was carrying a green recycling bag.

The second suspect was wearing a white parka-type jacket with a fur-lined hood. The hood was up and his face was covered. He was carrying a pack.

Shelkie says one suspect used a wrench to break the glass in the cases, while the other used a ratchet.

If you have any information about the suspects or the stolen jewelry, call the Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
