Mounties make return visit to problem Royal Avenue home

KAMLOOPS — For the second night in a row, Kamloops RCMP members rushed to 414 Royal Avenue Thursday night.

According to a news release, officers responded to a call from that home at about 8:00 p.m.

The caller stated there was a home invasion in progress.

When officers arrived, they burst in the door to make sure everyone was safe.

RCMP say it turns out a person had been lurking around the property, but didn’t enter the home.

The incident came one night after a five-hour standoff at the home.

In the Wednesday incident, police responded to a report that someone was being held captive inside the home.

A 25 year old man was arrested and is facing charges.
