AGASSIZ — It was just lucky no one was injured in an incident at the Electric Love Music Festival in Agassiz this past weekend.

A man is in custody after allegedly trying to drive through a crowd of people when asked to leave the grounds.

Security and festival goers stopped him, with one man jumping through a window of the vehicle to try to grab the keys.

The driver lost control and hit a pole as was held by the crowd until police arrived.

Police say they 13 other calls to the festival including one about an intoxicated man who had to be rescued from a manure pit after wandering onto a neighbouring farm, and releasing cattle before jumping into the pit.
