Crash near Cherry Creek sends two to hospital
KAMLOOPS — Two men were lucky to escape with only minor injuries after a single-vehicle crash on the Trans Canada Highway near Cherry Creek this morning.
Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says it happened at around 11:40 a.m. after one pickup travelling west in the fast lane suddenly swerved into the path of a westbound pickup towing a travel trailer in the slow lane.
“The pickup truck in the fast lane came up behind a vehicle that was stopped to turn onto Rodeo Drive, realized that he wasn’t going to be able to stop and swerved into the slow lane, at which point the truck and trailer swerved to avoid hitting him and they rolled into the ditch. They rolled once onto their roof.”
