KAMLOOPS — Close, but no cigar.

That was the verdict from Environment Canada when it comes to whether or not Kamloops broke a weather record today.

The temperature hit 35.5 degrees Tuesday, just shy of the record 36.1 degrees recorded this day in Kamloops back in 1958.

Things are expected to cool slightly as the week progresses, from a high of 34 Wednesday, down to 31 Thursday and 27 degrees on Friday.
