Power restored to over 2,000 BC Hydro customers on Kamloops North Shore

KAMLOOPS — Update: B.C. Hydro's website listed power as being fully restored by 8:10 PM Tuesday night.

The outage hit around 1:30 PM yesterday afternoon and affected over 2,000 Hydro customers.

Cause of the outage, according to the Hydro website, has been attributed to equipment failure.


Earlier:Power has been restored to over 2,000 BC Hydro customers on the North Shore. However 623 residences remain without power. No word yet on when their power will be restored.

Earlier: A power outage is affecting close to 3,000 BC Hydro customers in Kamloops this hour.

According to BC Hydro, the 2,866 customers all reside on Kamloops' North Shore.

The cause of the outage is currently under investigation.

No word yet on when power will be restored.
