Power outage hits Upper Sahali

KAMLOOPS — Update: Power has been restored to almost all BC Hydro customers in the Upper Sahali area of Kamloops. According to BC Hydro, 89 customers are still without power in one tiny pocket of Upper Sahali. No word yet on when their power will be restored. The outage was caused by a cable fault. At its peak, almost 1900 customers were affected by the outage.

Earlier: A major power outage this hour on Kamloops’ south shore.

BC Hydro says 1872 BC Hydro customers are without power in the Upper Sahali area.

The power went out just before 3:30 this afternoon.
