KAMLOOPS — Third time wasn’t a charm for Corryn Brown and the Wolfpack.

Facing the University of Alberta in the U SPORTS women’s curling national final for the third time in four years, the Pandas got the best of TRU once again in a 6-3 win on Wednesday afternoon.

The Wolfpack got out to a quick start, leading 2-0 after three ends, including a steal of one in the third. But Alberta skip Kristen Streifel, replacing the graduated Kelsey Rocque who defeated the Brown rink in extra ends in 2015 and 2016, bounced back with two in the fourth to tie the game.

The Pandas then stole in back to back ends, one in each of the fifth and sixth ends to grab their first lead of the game 4-2. Thompson Rivers got it to within one in the seventh before Alberta scored twice to take a 6-3 going to the 10th end, essentially sealing the win.
