KAMLOOPS — The abandoned drive-in theatre building on the Kamloops Indian Reserve was destroyed by fire this morning.

Kamloops Fire and Rescue were called to the fire about 2:00 AM this morning, but officials say the building was totally involved when they got there and the roof was already gone.

It quickly became a defensive firefighting effort.

The walls have crumbled in in spots, and there isn't much left this morning.

The old drive-in had been hit by a pair of fires in April of 2014 which destroyed a small outbuilding and part of the concession.

Fire investigators are at the scene this morning to determine a cause.

Sun Peaks and Whistler both set to open this weekend
