KAMLOOPS — It may look like a little harmless horse play, but these riders aren’t your average one-trick ponies.

They are the Cloverleaf Outlaw riding team, and they’ve been preparing for a big event, which is coming up this weekend.

Sandi Hall, the manager of the Cloverleaf Oulaw team says “these kids have ridden all their lives, they are all Barnhartvale kids, and they are all part of 4-H.”

“The Mane Event” will be held in Chilliwack this weekend — it’s the biggest equine trade show and expo of its kind in British Columbia.

Tamara Barker is the Mane Event marketing co-ordinator “For these kids, you get to see your idols — it’s like walking into the NHL and seeing Wayne Gretzky.”

Cally Sample is in her second year on the Cloverleaf Outlaw team, “We all have to all know what we’re going and work together — it takes lots of practice, but it’s worth it.”

The Mane Event says Cally “is huge, I’m so excited, I can’t express how excited I am.”
